Batting needs more focus than bowling: Zaheer

Former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas believes the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) must have hired a batting coach instead of bringing in former captain Wasim Akram for supervising a camp for fast bowlers.
Talking to APP, the former captain said what miracle it would make to the bowlers in a 10-day camp. "Instead of giving extraordinary attention to bowling section, the Pakistan Cricket Board should have hired a batting coach for the team which is the dire need of the hour," the former batsman said.
Commenting on the Champions Trophy probable's announced by the PCB, he said Shan Masood of Habib Bank Limited and Raza Hassan should be included in the list.
"All those players who haven't performed in the series against South Africa should be dropped," he said.
Nasir Jamshed, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Ahmed Shahzad, Wahab Riaz, Kamran Akmal didn't do well in the series and have been given too many chances by the PCB selectors. "New players should have been inducted in the Champions Trophy probable's list," he said.
A player who has played a 30, 40 run innings can do better if the PCB pays attention to the players batting instead of focusing on bowling.
Talking about Misbah-ul-haq's captaincy, Zaheer said until now there was no other player who could replace him for the captaincy. 
The ICC Champions Trophy will be played in England from June 6.
