Lee Tae-Hee finds form to take lead
INCHEON - South Korea's Lee Tae-Hee fired a four-under-par 68 on Friday to grab a two-shot lead after the second round of OneAsia's SK Telecom Open. The 29-year-old is eight under around the 7,241-metre course in pursuit of his first professional victory, with Australian Ryan Haller breathing down his neck after a sizzling 66. Former champion Park Sang-Hyun was third at five under par, while 71 players made a cut set at plus three. "My putting has been good for two days," Lee said. "The wind tends to be harder in the afternoon so I am not sure if I will be too aggressive on Saturday," he said. Haller also had his putter dialled-in after a first-round 72 he insisted was better than the scorecard suggested. "Yesterday I actually hit the ball a bit better, but I didn't make a putt."–AFP

Bilal bats Valenchia Club to thrashing win
LAHORE – Malik Bilal has batted Valenchia Club to thrashing 153-run victory over Ramnagar Gymkhana in the Amar Cables Club Cricket Championship 2014. Valenchia Club, batting first, posted a mammoth total of 362 runs on the board in the allotted overs. Malik Bilal batted brilliantly and hammered impressive 185 runs off 85 balls with the help of 17 sixes and 15 boundaries. Muzmail Butt contributed significant 72 runs off 38 balls hitting five sixes and six fours. Agha Ali was successful bowler for Ramnagar Gym as he clinched four wickets while M Kashif claimed three wickets. In reply, Ramnagar Gymakhana were all out for 209 runs. M Kashif scored 82 runs while Kamran Riaz added 26. Asif Rasool grabbed three wickets while Malik Bilal and Mian Attique Ur Rehman got two wickets each.–PR

Sidra bats Kinnaird Green to triumph
LAHORE - Kinnaird Green outclassed Kinnaird Blue by nine wickets in the Friends Twenty20 Women Cricket match played here at the Kinnaird cricket ground on Friday. Kinnaird Blue won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a decent total of 113 runs in 20 overs. Fareeha Mehmood and Aliya Riaz contributed important 36 and 35 runs respectively. For Kinnaird Green, Hafza Amjad bowled well and bagged two wickets while Nimrah Imran got one. Kinnaird Green, in reply, achieved the required target in 19.2 overs losing just one wicket. Sidra Amin played a superb unbeaten knock of 60 runs while Bismah Maroof smashed unbeaten 42 runs. Sidra Amin was named women of the match for her outstanding performance. Pakistan rugby camp for A5N Rugby
LAHORE – Pakistan rugby team camp was being organised under the supervision of head coach Roger Combous here at the Punjab University New Campus ground for A5N West Asia Division-III Tournament to be held in Pakistan. Four teams including Pakistan, India, Lebanon and Uzbekistan will partake in the event to be held in June. The head coach has been giving some useful tips and lectures to the players during the camp where they have been doing a lot of rugby drills and practice. He said: “This will be a big tournament for Pakistan team because India, Lebanon and Uzbek all are very strong teams. We are making a good team to play good rugby. Rugby talent in Pakistan is very good. This is 15-a-side tournament. Pakistan team comprising 24 boys will be announced in the first week of June.–Staff Reporter

Advance judo coaching course begins
ISLAMABAD – The three-day advance judo coaching course started here at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Center, Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar on Friday. The course will conclude on May 18. MPA Arif Yousaf was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony while former squash coach and former world champion Mohib Ullah, Masood Ahmed, karate coach Mansoor Ahmed, Ghulam Noorani, Atif Orakzai along with other officials of KPK Olympic Association and KPK sports directorate were also present on the occasion. A clear and focused coaching plan with the most efficient tools to prepare for matches, step by step instructions for improving techniques, how to maintain ideal body weight, tips for avoiding injury and risk management, all will be displayed by foreign judo coach Sajjad Kazemi along with Qamar Shakeel.–Staff Reporter
