LAHORE - Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) outclassed Punjab University 12-7 to win the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) Inter-varsity Women Basketball title here on Monday. The students of GCU, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), FC College University, Punjab University (PU) and LCWU participated in the event. Earlier in the first semi-final, PU defeated FCC 7-5 after a close contest while in the second semi-final, LCWU beat LUMS 17-12. Ch Akram and Sakhi Sarwar were the chief guests on the occasion. Talking to media, the chief guests said: “The government has provided opportunities to people of all walks of life to excel and organisations of such events has given the women players a platform to perform at national and international levels.”–Staff Reporter
