ISLAMABAD - Hosts Rawalpindi were in a strong position against minnows Mianwali in the last group match of Regional Inter-District Senior 2013-14 played here at Pindi Cricket Stadium Tuesday. Rawalpindi finished the day one on a massive 327-5 in 68 overs and took a huge first innings lead of 266 runs with 5 wickets still intact. Zahid Mansoor was still at the crease with an unbeaten 99. Naveed Malik was out after scoring a polished 95 while Talha Qureshi was also unbeaten at 61. Naveed Saeed took 4 for 74. Earlier, thanks to a deadly bowling spell by M. Ramiz, who took 7 for 24, Mianwali were bowled out for meager 51 in 19.5 overs in their first innings. Hamza was the only batsman to reach double figures scoring 17 runs.
