LAHORE - The Government College University (GCU) Lahore has won the Inter-collegiate Swimming Championship oraginsed by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore. GCU student Hiader Khan grabbed seven gold and two silver medals whereas Mirza Shehryar, another Ravian, bagged seven silver medals. The GCU team triumphed in all 10 events of the championship. Ravian Haider also won the title of the best swimmer of championship. Punjab Group of Colleges secured the second position whereas Superior College stood third in the event. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Khaleequr Rahman congratulated Haider Khan and Mirza Shehryar on their extraordinary performance in the championship and hoped that they would continue performing well and earning laurels for the university.” –Staff Reporter
