NEW DELHI (Agencies) - Deccan Chargers produced a dominant bowling performance to beat the Delhi Daredevils by 16 runs in their IPL clash at the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. Harmeet Singh proved to be the surprise package for Deccan Chargers as he snapped up two quick of wickets of Sehwag and Naman Ojha. From that point on, Deccan applied the squeeze and Delhi never recovered. The Delhi batsmen struggled to pick Mishra as the asking rate mounted. David Warner hung in there with a gritty fifty but he did not get any support from the others. Yogesh Nagar struck some big blows, but in the end, Deccan emerged winners by 16 runs. A quickfire half-century by Sunny Sohal and an equally useful knock of 49 from captain Kumar Sangakkara helped Deccan Chargers post a competitive total of 168 for four against Delhi Daredevils. Opting to bat, Sohal (62, 41b, 8X4, 1X6) and Sangakkara (49, 35b, 8X4, 1X6) put on a 92-run stand for the second wicket to set a solid platform for the team, but some fine bowling by the Daredevils at the end managed to put brakes on the Deccan scoring rate. Sohal opened the innings with a four through the covers, while Shikhar Dawan added two more boundaries of consecutive balls of Ashok Dinda's over - the very first over of the match.
