National Ranking Tennis from Aug 2

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is all set to organize Warid National Ranking Tennis Tournament from August 2 to 7th at PTF Tennis Complex. A total of 5 categories, men's singles, men's doubles, U-18, boys U-14 and ladies singles are included in the championship carrying R 200,000 prize money in addition to free accommodation at PTF Complex and daily allowances to all out station players. PTF has nominated M Arif Qureshi, ITF white badge as referee while Shahzad Akhtar Alvi will act as chief of umpires, all the interested players are advise to send their entries to Shahzad Akhtar Alvi, before July 31st. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tennis Federation sent Kamran Khalil, ITF level II coach and coordinator for JTI Programme in Pakistan to attend the ITF JTI Programme workshop at Bangkok, Thailand. A total of 20 national coordinators from Asia participated in the workshop; the main aim of organizing the workshop is to train JTI coordinators for the development of junior tennis in their respective countries. Kamran Khalil thanked PTF president Syed Kaleem Imam, for nominating him as coordinator for JTI Programme in Pakistan as well as sending him for attending workshop. PTF also send Muhammad Muzammil, Rida Khalid along with Moin ud Din Shah, Level-I coach to the ITF/ATF development camp held at Bangkok, Thailand. Meanwhile, Syed Kaleem Imam has increased the salaries of Pakistan Tennis Federation's staff up to 20% from this month terming the raise in the salaries is justify due to high inflation in the country, all the staff members thanked the President PTF for the increase in the salary specially before Eid.–Staff Reporter
