Pak judokas to feature in World Judo C’ships

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan judo team will participate in the World Judo Championships 2014 to be held in Chelyabinsk City, Russia from August 25 to 31.
Talking to The Nation, Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) secretary Masood Ahmad said: “The team will be announced later. It is a great achievement and honour for Pakistan that Pakistani judo team will feature in the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Judo Championships 2014.”
“It will help flourish judo and further popularize the game in the country. The PJF has provided top coaches to supervise training camps and the squad will be named after final trials,” he added.
“Our females will soon visit India for getting further training with Indian judo players, which will be very beneficial for the judokas of both the country to vie against each other and learn from each others’ experiences,” Masood concluded.
