Kinnaird Club win Inter-district Women Cricket





LAHORE – Kinniard Cricket Club registered a massive 154-run victory over Lahore Cricket Club to clinch the Regional Inter-District Women Cricket Championship Seniors title here at the Bagh-e-Jinnah ground on Friday.
Kinnaird Club, batting first, posted a mammoth total of 294 runs for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. Bismah Maroof smashed unbeaten 132 runs hitting 17 fours while Sidra Amin played 117 balls to score 75 runs with the help of seven fours. Zeba Manzoor took 2-60 while Marium Shafiq and Rabia Basri got one wickets each.
Lahore Club, in reply, were all out for paltry 140 runs in 40.2 overs. Marina Iqbal remained top scorer for Lahore Club with 42 runs hitting three fours while Ayesha Qazi added 37 runs. Iram Javed clinched three wickets for 27 runs while Elizabeth Barkat three for 24 for the winners.
Bismah Maroof of Kinnaird Club was named the women of the match while the best bowler was Bikhtaver Iqbal of Ravi Club, Bismah Maroof of Kinnaird Club the best batswoman, Farah Naeem of Ravi Club and Sidra Amin of Kinnaird Club the best fielder jointly, Sidra Nawaz of Lahore Club the best wicketkeeper and Hafsa Amjad of Ravi Club was declared player of the tournament.
