ISLAMABAD - Al-Fasial FC, Islamabad United, Akber FC and Murder Doll FC moved into the semifinals of the Akber Memorial Floodlight 9-a-side Football Championship here at T&T Football Ground. In the first quarterfinal, Al-Faisal FC outclassed Naek FC 3-0. Al-Faisal was leading 1-0 in the first half, thanks to Yasir's goal, Hameed and Hashim scored a goal each in the second half to give their side a comfortable 3-0 victory. In the second quarterfinal, Islamabad United FC beat PTCL Youth FC 3-2. In the third quarterfinal, Murder Doll FC edged out Crescent FC 1-0. In the fourth and last quarterfinal, Akber FC carved out a sensational 5-4 victory on plenty shoot out against mighty Kiran FC. Akber FC president Syed Sharafat Hussain Bokhari was the chief guest on the occasion.–Staff Reporter
