Nasir, Farhan advance in Atlanta Open

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan No 1 squash player Nasir Iqbal and No 2 Farhan Zaman started their $10,000 Atlanta Open 2014 Squash Championship campaign on winning note in the first round matches played in Atlanta US on Friday. Talking to The Nation, Nasir said: “I played first round match against British Adam Auckland and won it 11-7 while won the second 11-8 and third 11-7 to wint eh encounter. Now I will face countryman Aqib Hanif in the quarterfinal today (Saturday.” Farhan Zaman said: “I was pitted against Sean Conroy of Ireland. It was a very tough encounter against Irish lad but I won the first game 12-10, second 11-9, lost the third game 11-13 before winning the fourth 11-4 to win the match 3-1. Now I will face Declan James of England in the quarterfinal,” Farhan concluded.
