Nain helps ZTBL lift Women Cricket title





ISLAMABAD - Nain Abdi’s 104 runs guided ZTBL to win the seventh National Women Cricket Championship title as they thrashed HEC by 181 runs in the final played here at Diamond ground on Saturday.
ZTBL, batting first, scored 331 runs in 50 overs for the loss of five wickets. Nain played brilliantly well and smashed 104 runs off 88 balls laced with 10 fours and three sixes and was ably assisted by Bismah Maroof (71), Sana Mir (69) and Qanita Jalil (64). Sukhan Fiaz took 2-71.
In reply, HEC were all out for 150 runs in 36.3 overs. Sukhan Faiz was top scorer with unbeaten 28 runs. Sana Mir of ZTBL was declared best batswoman and player of the tournament, Nain Abdi (ZTBL) declared best fielder, Madhiya Rajput (Lahore) best wicketkeeper while Elizbeth Khan (Lahore) earned best bowler award.
