According to reliable sources, the PCB agreed upon the names of Mudassar Nazar, Intikhab Alam, Iqbal Qasim, Adnan Muzaffar and Arooj Mumtaz. For the first time in the PCB’s history, a women cricketer is being included in the cricket committee.
PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan had dissolved various committees including cricket, selection and other committees after the World T20 fiasco and announced to form new committees to get positive and better results.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PCB is all set to appoint Muddassar as National Cricket Academy (NCA), who is returning home after leaving the head coach job at the ICC Global Academy, UAE. Intikhab Alam is still attached with the national team as team manager while Iqbal Qasim is former Test cricket and selection committee head. Adnan Muzaffar belongs to PCB international cricket department while Arooj Mumtaz, who is going to represent women cricketers in the committee, is a member of women cricket selection committee.
