Netherlands, Scotland declared joint winners as rain abandons ICC World T20 Qualifier final

DUBLIN - Rain played spoilsport yet again washing out the final game of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in Dublin, eventually declaring Scotland and Netherlands as the joint winners of the tournament.
The rain was relentless throughout the day with no respite and the play was eventually called off by 2:55pm local time. Bernard Scholtz of Namibia was announced the man of the series for picking 14 wickets in eight games at an economy of 5.70. The third place play-off game between Ireland and Hong Kong in Dublin was also abandoned without a ball being bowled because of bad weather. Stephan Baard of Namibia ended as leading run-scorer with 309 runs in eight games while John Mooney of Ireland, Alasdair Evans of Scotland and Scholtz ended with 14 wickets.
