ISLAMABAD - Sohail Khan, Abdul Wasay and Raja M Kashif trio helped Punjab Club beat Islamabad Greeners by 75 runs in the Super-8 Round of the NBP-ICA Cricket League 2014 here at Marghzar Ground Saturday. Posting a healthy 261 for 7 in 40 overs, Punjab's Sohail Khan smashed 57-ball 73 with 7 fours and 2 sixes, opener Abdul Wasay scored 61 and Raja M Khan hit 50. Haider Shah claimed 3 wickets for 36.
Islamabad Greeners managed only 186 in 37.3 overs with Wajid Ali scoring unbeaten 43 and Ashar Khan scored 42, Waqas Wajid, Amir Jamal, M Atif, and Sarmad Bhatti shared two wickets each. Asif Memorial's talented Salman Haider hit a superb ton (136) and M Irfan scored superb 83 to outclass Youngster Club by 101 runs in a one-sided affair here at Bhutto Cricket Ground. Salma Haider blasted 136 off 114 balls with 14 fours and 3 sixes as 4th wicket partnership with M Irfan (83) produced 222 runs, Irfan hit 8 fours, Khalid Mehmood claimed 3 for 24. M Waheed hit brilliant 73 and Mehtab Abbasi claimed 4 wickets.
