PWLF urges NBP to promote Zubair Butt

The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWLF) has urged the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to provide M Zubair Yousaf Butt two-step promotion with special advanced increment on the basis of his achievement in the field of sports as well as his long service rendered in the bank. The PWLF informed the prime minister and NBP president that Zubair Butt, working as senior officer in the main branch of NBP, has put in 40 years meritorious and blotless services at his credit and within 40 years, no promotion and increment was given to him.
Moreover, he also possesses brilliant record in the field of sport especially weightlifting. He participated in a number of national and international events and brought lot of laurels for the country. He represented Pakistan 17 times in various capacities in the past and won silver in International Weightlifting Championship at Cairo Egypt 1982 as competitor. He also possess various position as No 1 technical official (referee) of International Weightlifting Federation (IWLF). He has been given an honour in granting him a title of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) executive committee member recently.
