Womens T20 starts today

OUR STAFF REPORTER KARACHI - Four womens teams will appear in the inaugural JS Bank Womens T20 cricket which will be started here at Moin Khan Academy in the DHA from today (Wednesday). This was announced here Tuesday in a media briefing held at a local five star hotel. Khalil ur Rehman, SEVP, Kamran Jafar, SEVP and Imran Shaikh, VP were present along with other senior bank officials. JS Bank Limited is taking the first step in sponsoring sports events and has picked womens T20 cricket as its first venture. Speaking on this occasion, Khalil ur Rehman said: the privilege of hosting the first ever Women T20 tournament in Pakistan to promote women's cricket and also pave way for talent hunt of new emerging players. Kamran Jafar sharing his thoughts on this exclusive sponsorship and commented: "We believe that encouraging and promoting our youth in healthy sporting activities is an essential need of the hour considering the current socio political scenario and the onus of this responsibility lies on the Corporate sector. Ayesha Qureshi said: "The tournament will be contested among four Karachi based teams, JS Orange, JS Red, JS Blue and JS Green.
