Alex, Williams excel in England win

LAHORE: Alex Hammond hit a superb half century and Jorden Williams and Jimmy Williams shared seven wickets as England defeated Pakistan by nine wickets in the second one-day international to level the three-match disability series 1-1 at the ICC Global Cricket Academy Dubai, according to information made available here on Friday. The series deciding third and final one-dayer will be played today (Saturday). Jordem Williams captured four wickets for 37 runs and Jummy Williams took three for 28 runs and Alex Hammond 2-26 as Pakistan team, batting first, was all out for 105 in 22.4 overs. Jahanzaib Tiwana smashed 56-ball 58 and Abdullah hit 21. England, in reply, raced to victory for the loss of one wicket in 22.4 overs.
