Salman Butt, one of the three Pakistan players suspended by the ICC following the spot-fixing allegations, has appealed against his suspension. Haroon Lorgat, the ICC chief, confirmed Butt's appeal and said they "would look to expedite as quickly as possible". Butt was Pakistan's captain in the Lord's Test match where Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif are alleged to have bowled no-balls.
