LAHORE - Upcoming U-18 tennis player Noor Malik clinched the Malik Mubarik Memorial Junior Tennis Championships U-18 girls’ singles title after beating Mahnoor Ali 1-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the final on Saturday.
The boys U-18 boys’ title was won by M Ahmad who edged out Mian Bilal 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 while in the boys’ U-14 final, Harris Irfanul Haq beat Hafiz Arbab Ali 6-1, 6-2 to win the title. Ehsan Ali beat Hamza Bin Rehan 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to win the boys’ U-12 final while Naliain Abbass beat M Saeed 6-2, 6-3 to clinch the boys’ U-10 title.
PLTA president Rao Iftikhar was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners. He said the PLTA would be holding more junior tournaments and tennis camps to promote tennis.
