Hilarious & thrilling

Namaloom Afraad is not an action film as most of the people perceive it from its name. It is a comedy thriller targeting the unexplored topic related to the biggest city of Pakistan, Karachi. It is a completely original film with great story. Everything about the movie is exquisite including the story, cast, music and cinematography. I don’t remember the moment when the people weren’t laughing during the premiere show screening of the film.

The story is about three people who want to achieve their goals. Fahad Mustafa as Farhan, Mohsin Abbas Haider as Moon and Jawed Sheikh as Shakeel Bhai all have proved themselves as talented actors. They played their roles very well. Farhan is a salesman of an insurance company, who wakes up every day to achieve his goals but unfortunately he fails. Second is Moon who runs away from his home to work in Dubai, but unfortunately he could not go there, so he is doing a job as a customer care representative in a Karachi power supply company. The third person is Shakeel Bhai who is living with his wife and sister. He is a retired man and waiting for his provident fund. Farhan and Moon are non-paying tenants of Shakeel. Farhan loves Naina, the sister of Shakeel, but can’t marry her due to his current financial condition. An incident made three of them together and made their lives more difficult than before. The movie has an item song by Mehwish Hayat. Salman Shahid has played the role of Gogi Bhai who is a notorious don. Nabeel Qureshi’s also played his role very well.

The film is produced by Fizza Ali Meerza under the banner of Filmwala Pictures. Film's shooting started in early 2014 and was completed at the end of June which makes it first Pakistani film to be produced and released same year. It’s the first Pakistani film which is shot completely on Arri Alexa state of the art camera. Pakistan Film Industry has progressed day by day and it is producing good movies. People belong to this industry are confident that they will produce further good movies like Namaloom Afraad. It is a family movie and worth watching.
