Lahore had the biggest Photography Competition of the time, Tasveer-e-Pakistan organized by some patriotic university students of Lahore. The idea behind organizing the event was to showcase the Pakistan in the best manner under the banner of “Aisa bhi ha Pakistan”, depicting the true colors of the beloved country.
People showed great interest by participating and visiting the exhibition and ceremony. A number of 500+ persons from across Pakistan participated in the photography contest. The event continued with the exhibition of top 50 pictures, being selected from the entries. Top 10 were awarded medals and top 3 were presented shields along with cash prizes. Whereas certificates were provided to top 100 participants. The jury members consisted of Mr. Agha Rizwan Ali (United Nations Program Contest People’s Choice Winner) along with Dr. Naqeeb Hussain and Mr. Khalil Shah.
Ceremony was enlightened by the great grandson of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Sir Syed Asadullah who appreciated the efforts of the young generation and urged everyone to show the positive side of Pakistan to the world. Tasveer-e-Pakistan showed another great side, a tolerant and peace loving Pakistan, by inviting Coordinator to Youth Mobilization Committee CM Punjab, Sardar Atthar Sing, who cherished the efforts and participation of people and admired the concept of the event.
The ceremony also paid tribute to the philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi by singer Sami Khan and concluded with the prize distribution to the winners of the contest.
