Former MNA flayed for attending N meeting


AHMEDPUR EAST – Hundreds of male and female PPP activists staged a sit-in as a protest against former PPP MNA Malik Aamar Yar Warran for participating in his brother-in-law and Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Malik Jehanzeb Warran at Chowk Fawarra Bahawalpur.
At the reception, PML-N workers had chanted slogans against the PPP while Malk Aamar Warran termed Sharif brothers Mohsin-e- Bahawalpur.
Headed by PPP Bahawalpur Senior Vice President Malik Mumtaz Hussein Kamboh, the PPP activists demanded that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani should cease the development funds released to Aamar’s wife MNA Mrs Khadija Warran in NA-184.  PPP leaders Malik Mumtaz Hussein, Mian Mustafa Nawaz, Rahim Sher, Aziz Ahmed Khan, Rana Farooq, Irshad Ahmed Saroya and others blamed that Mr Aamar listened the speeches of PML-N leaders against PPP leadership while sitting on the stage at Mubarakpur and other areas.
They also announced to boycott those party meetings in which Aamar Warran will be invited and warmed that if the party leadership did not initiate disciplinary action against Aamar Warran they would set up a hunger strike camp in front of the President House in Islamabad. Malik Aamar was disqualified by Supreme Court by keeping fake B.A degree last year. Resultantly, the PPP leadership had awarded PPP ticket to his wife Mrs Khadija Warran in by-election.
As per reports Aamar Warran recently had invited Premier Gillani to contest next general election from NA-184.
DISTILLERIES: The City Police conducted a raid in Mohalla Fatani and unearthed two running distilleries while its owner Allah Dewaya fled away from the scene. However, raiding party arrested three his accomplice including Mohd Shahbaz, Mohd Shehzad and Mohd Sajid and recovered 145 litres of liquor there. Meanwhile, Saddar Police arrested alleged drug-pusher Mohd Salim and recovered ten litres wine from him.
9 SUSPECTS ARRESTED: Dhorkot police overpowered a drug-pedlar identified as Mohd Ayaz and recovered 515 grams of charas from his possession. The Police have registered a case against him.
Meanwhile, Uchsharif Police conducted a surprise raid in Uch Gillani and arrested nine gamblers identified as Mohd Shabir, Allah Ditta, KhalilurRehman, Mohd Afzal, Nazar Hussein, Aram Hussein, Nazar Mohd, Ghulam Farid and Khalid Mehmood. The police also recovered stricken Rs30,500 and cards from the them . The police have registered a case against culprits.
