KARACHI - All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Chairman Atique Mir has said that during last two month city trade is facing loss more than Rs 50 billion and the trade volume remain under 60 percent while 70 percent traders mentally prepared to leave the city.

He said that three political power players of city are the major cause behind unrest.

Chairman appealed high-ups of city to take part for the development of financial hub of country, adding that ruling party showed its will as a ruler not as a stakeholder of the city.

Attique Mir showed his deep concerns over Karachi’s situation and said that city is more dangerous than Balochistan for traders where upcoming new investment has now been frozen and outsiders are ready to take back their investment.

Murder, killing and lawlessness has crossed high limits, so government should take concrete actions to maintain law and order situation and utilise all its resource, he added.

He termed the rise of crimes in Karachi as poison for economy, adding that influential people are backing criminals which are amplifying might of such elements. Police of metropolis is unable to play its positive role due to political pressure, he concluded.
