HYDERABAD  - Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Chairman Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim submitted his nomination form to contest the election from NA- 218 in Matiari district on Sunday. Accompanied by a large number of supporters, Amin Fahim arrived at the district and sessions court Matiari where his form was submitted.

Talking to the reporters on the occasion, the head of PPPP dispelled the impression that his party was marred by internal conflict over the election tickets.

“The party’s parliamentary board is vetting all the applications. The decision of the party tickets will be taken on merit,” he said. Fahim informed that the announcement of the tickets would be made after the scrutiny phase of nomination papers is completed. When questioned about the major alliance of many political parties and several big communities like Memon Ittehad of Matiari which can pose him a challenge in the elections, Fahim said all the citizens of Pakistan and groups had the right to contest elections. “They will try their best to win the votes and we will do the same too. Finally, it will be the people who will decide whom to vote,” he said and expressed the confidence that he would win from the area on the basis of his performance and services for the people.

Responding to a question about his implication in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) corruption scam, the PPPP Chairman said the case was a political one.
