PESHAWAR - The National Youth Assembly Fata chapter has resigned in protest for not having been given representation to youth from tribal areas in the assembly.

Speaking at a news conference here on Sunday, Youth Governor Fata, Mehreen Afridi announced that National Youth Assembly has denied giving representation to FATA yours and that’s why in protest they abolish the FATA assembly chapter.

Flanked by the youth assembly information minister, Wali Afridi, agriculture minister, Shah from Bajaur agency, and Shakirullah, she said that the Fata youth chapter had been abolished in the National Youth Assembly, Fata, which was created great unrest among tribal people.

She said that the Fata Youth Assembly being headed by a Governor, twelve ministers, and around 600 youths as its members. She said the all members and office bearers have decided to resign from the assembly after not giving representation in the youth assembly Fata.

She demanded of the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engr Shaukatullah Khan, to announce establishment of a Fata Youth Assembly.
