The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) continued its clean-up operation and removed encroachments from dozens local factories, marriages halls, shops and houses along the main Sialkot-Saidpur Road here on Monday..

The TMA staff also bulldozed the encroached parts of the factories of former SCCI President Muhammad Hanif Khan and PTI local leader Umer Dar.

When contacted, TMO Muhammad Zafar Qureshi told the mediamen that the affected factories, marriage halls, shops and houses had encroached upon some portion of road from 11 to 22 feet on both sides and encroachers had not removed encroachments, despite repeated notices issued by the TMA.

Meanwhile, the deceased Gardawar of the Revenue Department Muhammad Afzal Bajwa, was laid to rest in his native graveyard at village Ucha Pahaar-Haibatpur, in Pasrur tehsil here on Monday.

10 injureed: As many as 10 passengers including five  women were injured seriously when a passenger van plunged into Bambaanwala Ravi-Baidian (BRB) Canal near Mianwali Bangla-Daska here on Monday.

The locals fished out injured from the canal. The injured were shifted to Daska Civil Hospital where, the condition of two women was stated to be critical.
