LAHORE  - A representative delegation of prominent construction companies of Turkey including STFA and TAV groups met Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Monday and discussed matters regarding proposed extension project of Lahore Airport.

The delegation included Chief Executive of STFA Mehmet Ali Neyzi, Advisor & Chairman Turkey-Pakistan Business Council Riza Arsan and Investment Coordinator of TAV Bulent Ozuturk. Provincial Minister for Housing Tanvir Aslam Malik, Chairman Lahore Transport Company Kh. Ahmed Hasaan, Director General Civil Aviation, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, DG LDA and other concerned authorities were present.

Talking to the Turk delegation, the Chief Minister said that several Turk companies are working in different sectors in Pakistan especially Punjab. He said that trade and economic cooperation is increasing between Turkey and Pakistan.

He said that due to increase in the number of passengers, extension of Lahore Airport is the need of the hour and the interest taken by the Turk companies in the proposed extension project is a good omen. The Chief Minister also welcomed the Turk delegation in Lahore.

The members of the Turk delegation, while speaking on the occasion, said that they were deeply impressed with the development vision of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. They also expressed desire to invest in construction sector in Pakistan.
