Wardens on one-week duty to better traffic sense

Lahore Traffic Police launched ‘Education Week’ in the provincial capital to educate motorists about the traffic rules and road safety
measures. Chief Traffic Officer Sohail Chaudhry told reporters on Monday that three camps were established at Faisal Chowk, Liberty roundabout, and Ichra Underpass to create awareness among the public. Apart from 18 traffic wardens, at least six lady wardens are also deployed at the awareness camps to educate the masses about the issues related to road safety and traffic system.  For this purpose, the traffic officers would distribute pamphlets among the road users. Senior police officers would also deliver lectures at these camps to
educate the masses about the basics of traffic system.–Text by Ashraf Javed/ Photo by Nawaz Alam
