LAHORE - Election Tribunal on Tuesday allowed a petition seeking verification of votes through Nadra in NA-128 and PP-160 in alleged matter of rigging in both the constituencies. Tribunal Judge Kazim Malik heard the case. Karamat Khokhar had challenged the victory of PML-N MNA Afzal Khokhar from NA-128 while PTI Zaheer Abbas Khokhar had challenged the victory of MPA Saiful Malook Khokhar from PP-160.
Both the petitioners alleged that massive rigging were done in both the constituencies. They pleaded the court to direct Nadra for votes’ verification.
After hearing the arguments of petitioners’ counsel, Tribunal Judge Kazim Malik ordered Nadra for votes’ verification through Nadra. The tribunal will resume hearing on April 14.
