LAHORE -

Spokesman for the Punjab government, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan MPA, Saturday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan for taunting the people of Lahore over development.

He said the people of Lahore are well-aware of the development carried out by the Punjab government in the city and will give a befitting reply to his taunts in the 2018 general elections. In response to a statement of Imran Khan, the spokesman said Niazi Sahib should open his eyes and see similar facilities in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur. “Niazi Sahib is trying to hide his political failures by criticising development projects of Punjab. He cannot deceive the people through jugglery of facts and figures. The false story about the budgets of South Punjab and Lahore has been fabricated by Niazi Sahib in an effort to create hatred. Independent institutions of China have confirmed the facts about Multan Metro. The elements afraid of development projects of PML-N are in the state of anxiety. Niazi Sahib has forgotten that Bani Gala Road was constructed on his request. What Imran Khan said is only a pack of lies. If Niazi Sahib has evidence, he should go to the court of law. Why does he shout in front of the people and the media? Imran Khan is already avoiding courts over his false allegations. Where have gone his truthfulness and bravery? Shehbaz Sharif has worked for public welfare round-the-clock whereas Imran Khan is telling a lie day and night and is afraid of popularity of Shehbaz Sharif. He criticises projects of Shehbaz Sharif, but initiates similar projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the spokesman averred. Shehbaz Sharif enjoys strong respect in the hearts of the people who know very well why he is a real Khadam-e-Aala, he concluded.
