ISLAMABAD- The government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to celebrate the 68th Independence Day of Pakistan in a befitting manner.

Under the plan, a range of special ceremonies will continue throughout August, highlighting the struggle for an independent country and the sacrifices rendered by martyrs for the national cause.

The government has asked all residents to raise national flag to send a message of unity and solidarity to the internal and external enemies of Pakistan.

A special parade and a fly past would be held in Islamabad while a traditional Independence Day ceremony would also be arranged on August 14. The government will encourage the civil society, NGOs, bars, professional organizations and religious leaders to ensure maximum participation in the Independence Day celebrations.
