KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders have hoped Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan will take back his call of long march scheduled on August 14 in the federal capital.
In a joint statement after offering Eid prayers in London, MQM senior leaders, Tariq Javed, Qasim Ali and Mustafa Azizabadi, said protest activities should be avoided given the current fragile situation of the country, adding that credible sources have revealed that Imran Khan will take back his call of long march scheduled on August 14. They appealed to all the political forces to step with caution, keeping in view the critical situation of the country and avoid protest activities.
They further stated valid sources have revealed that (PTI) chief Imran Khan might announce to call off their protest sit-in planned for August 14 in Islamabad.
They also prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country and success of the ongoing army operation in the tribal areas of Pakistan.
