Rawalpindi- Summer vacations in the government run schools at Rawalpindi has been cancelled in pursuance of orders of Punjab government in connection with Independence Day celebrations and anti-dengue campaign.
Heads of the schools have been directed to ensure attendance of the teachers and students in the respective schools. These celebrations will continue till 30^th August and national flag will be hoisted on the buildings of all the state run schools on 14^th August. Anti-dengue and cleanliness week will be observed from August, 4-9. School education department Rawalpindi has appointed deputy director monitoring as focal person besides seeking reports from district monitoring teams on day to day basis on this count.
