Altaf appeals for unity

KARACHI - MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people of all communities to remain steadfast and united for the restoration of law and order and defeat the conspiracies being hatched against motherland. He said this while speaking with Advisor to Prime Minister and Chairman of National Reconstruction Bureau Dr Asim by telephone from London today. The current situation faced by the country was also discussed. Altaf Hussain strongly condemned the violent activities in the city and termed it as part of the conspiracy to disturb the peace and tranquility of the city. He also appealed to the leaders of all political and religious parties to play their role for the survival of Pakistan. He also instructed the MQM Rabita Committee and all office bearers to make all efforts to maintain peace in the city and their respective areas. He also appealed to the Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and provincial Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza to use all resources for the maintenance of law and order for peace.
