ISLAMABAD - Five or six vehicles of the motorcade of Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Chaudhry collided with each other near Motorway Chowk, but fortunately Chief Justice and his family remained unhurt According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place because of the negligence of the driver of a police vehicle, which was also part of the CJs motorcade. The accident occurred at a time when the CJ motorcade was entering the capital from Motorway. A private car was also damaged badly in the accident and the occupants were injured. According to Turnol Police, six vehicles of the CJ motorcade, including a private car, collided with each other and six people were injured. Investigations were underway to know real cause of the accident. However, Dr Moeen Masood, SSP Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) was not available for comments. Dr Waseem Khawaja, the spokesman of PIMS, said that five injured were brought to the hospital who were stable and out of danger. The CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry along with his family was coming to Islamabad after celebrating Eid in Lahore.
