Two accused of killing student arrested

ISLAMABAD - Sabzi Mandi Police arrested two alleged murderers for brutal killing of a 9th class student, Usman who was abducted for ransom of Rs 3 millions, then murdered and the dead body packed into a sack was thrown into Nullah Korang. The police have got three days physical remand of the two accused for further necessary investigations. Tahir Alam, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) had formed an investigation team under the supervision of SP Industrial Area, Abdul Ghaffar including DSP, Khurshid Ahmed, SHO Sabzi Mandi, Mohammad Hussain Lasi, SI, Allah Dad, Head Constable, Sarfraz Khan and others to probe into the case. The investigation team while taking into account the modern techniques of investigation arrested two alleged murderers, namely Mohammad Ijaz, a resident of Khayabane Sir Syed, Rawalpindi and Aman Ullah, a resident of Feroz Pur Road, Lahore. It was disclosed during investigations that accused Ijaz was the neighbour of Usman who was murdered while Aman Ullah was the close friend of Ijaz. The alleged murderers abducted Usman from Sector I-10/1 on 16th of November and while using a rental car taken him in the area of Nullah Korang. The alleged culprits demanded 3 million rupees from his parents as ransom for releasing Usman but when his parents failed to give them the ransom, they murdered him as he recognised one of the accused namely Ijaz. Earlier, Sheikh Umer, a resident of Khayabane Sir Syed, Rawalpindi had lodged a complaint with the Sabzi Mandi Police that his son, Usman a student of FG Model School, I-10/2 had gone to school and did not return home after the school timings. Later, the alleged murderers had demanded Rs 3 millions as ransom from his parents. Meanwhile, the Capital Police had made foolproof security arrangements to save the lives and properties of citizens during Eid-ul-Azha and have arrested six accused involved in robberies during Eid Holidays. According to details, Sihala Police arrested three accused Gul Raiz, Raees and Shahzad; Aabpara Police arrested Hazrat and Rizwan Ullah; while Koral Police arrested accused Lal Hussain involved in robberies and theft incidents. The police have recovered the stolen property from the possession of the accused and cases have been registered against the culprits. Moreover, Golra Police recovered 300 grams of marijuana and 50 grams of hashish from the possession of accused Sharafat and a case has been registered against him. Furthermore, Shalimar Police arrested accused Sajjad who was in the guise of army officer but could not provide any proof of his army service to the police.
