LAHORE - Time is fast running out for Pakistans runaway wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider and the drama, after an absorbing climax, is gradually moving to its resolution. Zulqarnain said on Saturday that in five to six days, he would make public the real culprits behind match fixing. His wife has now filed a police report that she has received threatening calls from unknown people after her husbands bold claims. She also said she feared for the lives of her kids and was eager to join her husband in the UK. The mist would clear in a few days as Zulqarnains wife is likely to join him in a few days. The argument that Zulqarnains primary motive was to seek asylum in the UK may lose credence if he really comes up with names he has promised with solid evidence to support. His deadline (of four-to five days) expires on Friday. It is unlikely that he would reveal the names -- now on ground that lives of his family members are in danger. But once his family joins him in the UK, he would not be left with much of an excuse. Indeed, his intentions will be under question if he still remained silent. If he remains dicey even after the getting his family in the UK, his critics would stand justified that the whole story was concocted in a bid to seek asylum. The PCBs fact-finding committee formed to probe the unwarranted disappearance submitted its report on Monday and said Zulqarnain was changing his statements on regular basis. Another source had claimed that Zulqarnain had sought information regarding asylum in the UK when the team was there a few months back. He wrote on his Facebook page: All these people who are saying negative things about me... they should wait for five more days then I will show them my background and status." After five days I will show them their background and place and also those who dont take money and those who have taken money, Haider wrote on his page.
