Medics reproach police for not nabbing killer

BAHAWALNAGAR - Doctors staged a demo and took out a protest rally here in protest against the police failure to arrest the identified accused who reportedly killed their colleague.
According to details, the doctors staged a demo here and took out a protest rally on the call of Pakistan Medical Association district chapter against "local police's failure" to arrest the identified murderer of Dr Jameel Sindhu, who was brutally killed three months back at Faqirwali. The protesting doctors marched from DHQ Hospital Bahawalnagar to DCO office. They were carrying placards and banners inscribing with slogans against the police. The rally led by Dr A Hafeez, Dr Iqbal and Dr Rao Tahir was also attended by the family of deceased Dr Jamil. They were chanted slogan, demanding early arrest of the assailants. They also warned that if the accused were not arrested at the earliest, the doctors of Southern Punjab would compel to extend their protest.
dinner: The University of Sargodha has become a great seat of learning and a leading economy based institution, said Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Akram Chaudhry.
He was addressing a farewell dinner held in honour of the retired professors. The UoS VC claimed that the teaching faculty of the university, comprised of PhD and Mphils, go side by side with the vision of 21st century. Prof Dr Ghulam Hussain Bhatti expressed on behalf of retired professors.
 that he and his companions got the opportunity to serve abroad, but the respect which they availed here at University of Sargodha could not be enjoyed anywhere else.
Prof Ashraf Mughal, Prof Yousaf Sajid also spoke on the occasion.
Later, the VC distributed shields and cash prizes among the retired teachers.
