LAHORE - Pakistan U23 football team will leave for Sri Lanka today (Saturday) to take part in Mahinda Rajapaksa International Football Tournament to be held from December 3 to 9 at Nawalapitiya, Jayathilaka Stadium.

Pakistan will open their mission on December 3 with the match against Bangladesh at 3:30pm.

“The participation in the event will help our team to prepare for South Asian Games likely to be held in September, 2013,” said Pakistan Football Federation president Faysal Saleh Hayat here on Friday. He also wished the team good luck and expressed the optimism that the team would produce desired results in the event.
