Rawalpindi - The city traffic police have launched a campaign about traffic rules and road safety precautions to create awareness among the citizens. In this regard, the city traffic police briefed a total of 10,470 drivers/owners of vehicles and motorcycles about traffic laws and road safety, besides distributing 25,000 pamphlets. The education wing of traffic police also organised three awareness walks, aired 15 radio programmes and held road safety seminars in 18 education institutions. Shoaib Khurram Janbaz, SSP/Chief Traffic Officer, informed this while talking to media persons here on Sunday. The CTO said that the CTP launched awareness campaign to teach people about road safety precautions. He said that CTP education wing would also play its vital role for changing the mindset of the people regarding road safety.
