ISLAMABAD- Supreme Court (SC) has declined to register contempt of court petition, against former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).

During the course of hearing of appeal plea against registrar objections at chamber, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa diverted the attention of the petitioner to the age of former CEC and persuaded him to file complaint against former CEC in Pakistan Bar Council.

The petitioner insisted Fakhar ud Din Ibrahim G deceived nine-member bench of SC being counsel for Nawaz Sharif and submitted application after one week for seeking deletion of his name from the record of ‘memogate’ case.

The petitioner Shahid Orakzai said, if counsel for Nawaz Sharif admits his ailment then case will stand disposed of automatically. Otherwise he will have to accept the matter of pressure due to which he absented from memo case.
