Islamabad - The police are groping in the dark for the attackers as another victim of the firing in sector I-8 expired in the hospital, taking the death toll to two.
Syed Ain Zaidi, 72, breathed his last at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.
On Wednesday, unidentified bikers had opened fire at people leaving an imambargah after evening prayers. An Intelligence Bureau (IB) official, identified as Hubdar Hussain, had died on the spot while former Advocate General Sindh Syed Ain Zaidi died on Thursday in PIMS hospital.
The first information report (FIR) of the incident was lodged at I-9 Police Station against unidentified attackers. The police officials said that they still had found no clue about the attackers, as no one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
According to the police sources, the investigators have recorded statements of the witnesses and evidences are being examined forensically to reach the culprits.
