SHIKARPUR - Shikarpur Police, on the directives of SSP Umar Tufail, have finalised the security measures for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi [PBUH] to be celebrated today.
According to police spokesperson, more than 700 police personnel will be deployed along the main procession routes while security has been beefed up in and around mosques, imambarghas and seminaries in the city.
Besides that CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates have also been installed while a control room has also been set up at police headquarters to monitor the situation during the procession.
SSP Shikarpur Umar Tufail has appealed to all the people to be on board for promoting inter-faith harmony and cohesion. He has also stated that action would be taken against those making provocative speeches, distributing pamphlets or other prohibited material, and doing wall-chalking.
On the other hand, heavy police contingent conducted raids in different areas of the city on Thursday and arrested 10 suspects, while a number of tinted glasses, sirens, coloured headlights and fancy number plates were removed. During the campaign, police checked 200 vehicles, and impounded 40 unregistered ones. The SSP has made it clear that no one would be allowed to violate the law of the land, and the campaign would prove effective and result-oriented.
MIRPURKHAS: Foolproof security arrangements have been finalised for the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) to be celebrated today (Friday).
According to the security plan, police personnel would be deployed at main chowks, in and around mosques, imambargahs, other sensitive areas, entry and exit points of the city and markets to keep an eye on the miscreants.
The law enforcement agencies have increased patrolling as dozens of processions would be taken out from different places of the city to mark the occasion.
On the other hand, the municipal staff has also cleaned the procession routes.
