LAHORE - The Punjab team gained with 212 points won the 2nd National Juniors Cycling Championship which concluded here on Saturday. Iftikhar Ahmad Rao, Secretary Sports, Punjab graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and gave the prizes to the winners. According to the overall position, Punjab won with 212 points followed by Army (173) and Balochistan (81 points. Muhammad Ali Butt of Punjab was declared as the National (Junior) Champion and Fastest Cyclist. On the concluding day of the championship, four events were competed and their results are given below:- 30 Km road team time trial: Punjab 1st Time 41 minutes; Army 2nd Time 42 minutes; Sindh 3rd Time 43 minutes Team Sprint: Army, Punjab, Balochistan Elimination Race: Muhammad Ali Butt (Punjab), Shakeel Amin (Wapda), Ismail Saeed (Army) Sprint: Muhammad Ali Butt (Punjab), Waqas Mahboob (Punjab), Sajid Khan (Army).
