LAHORE - The elected council of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan has elected Prof Zafarullah Chaudhry as President, Prof Khalid Masood Gondal and Prof Tariq Mahmood Khan as vice presidents and Prof Shireen Zulfiqar Bhutta as treasurer of the college. Elections of CPSP for the term 2011 2014 have been completed in which a 20-member council has been elected while 4,300 fellows used their right of vote. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof Tariq Mahmood Khan and Prof Shireen Zulfiqar Bhutta have been elected as vice presidents and treasurer of CPSP respectively. A 20-member council comprises Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Prof Rakhshanda Rehman, Prof Amer Aziz, Prof Muhammad Amjad, Prof Rashid Latif Khan, Prof Ghulam Mujtaba, Prof Muhammad Asghar Butt, Prof Muhammad Shoaib Shafi, Prof Rizwana Chaudhry, Maj Gen Professor Salman Ali from the Province of Punjab, Prof Naimatullah Kundi and Prof Mumtaz Ali Marwat from the Province of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Prof Naqib Ullah Achakzai from Quetta and Prof Tariq Mahmood Khan, Prof Shereen Zulfiqar Bhutta, Prof Syed Tipu Sultan, Prof Rizwan Azmi, Prof Abdul Sattar Memon, and Prof Sikandar Ali Mughal from the Province of Sindh. Addressing the newly elected council Prof Zafar said that the college would be made a role model in training, monitoring and medical education at international level during the next four years. Relations with Britain, Canada, Kuwait and other developed countries will be further strengthened.
