LAHORE Kinnaird Club completed a hat-trick of the Lahore Region Senior Womens Inter-District championship title when they defeated Garrison Club by five wickets in the final here at Kinnaird Club ground on Monday. The feature of the match was extra runs given freely from either side. Batting first, Garrison Club was bundled out for just 114 runs in the allotted overs. Sidra Nawaz (36) and Sabahat Rashid 13 not out were the main contributors. From Kinnaird Club, Mehwish Tariq claimed two wickets while Elizebeth Khan, Bakhtawar and Faryal grabbed one wicket apiece. In reply, Kinnaird Club achieved the target after losing five wickets. Faryal Awan (29), Komal Feroze (18), Sidra Amin (13) and Bushra Ashraf (10) played well. From Garrison Club, Sabahat Rashid was pick of the bowlers who chipped in with three wickets while Maryam Butt grabbed two wickets. PCBs (Women Wing) chairperson Bushra Aitzaz was the chief guest on the occasion who witnessed the match and later distributed prizes among teams.
