LAHORE The services of the Pakistan Movement workers for the country are priceless and provide us a source to work for development of the country, speakers said on Monday. Expressing their views at a ceremony, jointly organised by the Nazria Pakistan Trust and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust to mark the death anniversaries of the Movement leaders who died in the month of January, Prof Dr MA Soofi, Prof Muzaffar Mirza, Prof Dr Parveen Khan, and Shahid Rasheed said the leaders such as Nawab Saleemullah Khan, Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar, Nawab Waqarul Mulk, and Nawab Siddique Ali Khan had worked to bring the Muslims of the sub-continent out of the economic and political crises. The event was held at the Aiwane Karkunan Tehrike Pakistan. The speakers said the leaders had led the Muslims in a time when the Congress party wanted to push them back. The great heroes with their visionary thoughts brought a revolution in the region, they added, adding they also confronted the conspiracies of the Hindus and the British at the time. They also urged the listeners to learn from their (Movement leaders) vision to bring the country out of the prevailing crises.
