Our war

The passage of 21st Amendment by the Parliament and the establishment of nine military courts by the Pakistan Army, within days, show a firm resolve of the civilian leadership and top military brass to stamp out terrorism. The government rightly called an All Parties Conference for creating consensus over the establishment of military courts and exigently took steps to pass the 21st Amendment. The civil-military leadership is highly determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism. The 21st Amendment may have hurt many democratic minds in the present government and political parties but the government compromised for the sake of speedy trial and impartial justice which would ensure peace, progress and prosperity. This firm resolve has put an end to a long standing question, whether it is our war or not? Surely it is our war now and to fight this war is our responsibility.
