LAHORE - The local meteorological department has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of the country including Lahore during the next 4-5 days.

According to the experts, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is passing over Kashmir and adjoining areas. Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, snowfall occurred at few places in Gilgit-Baltistan. Rain occurred at isolated places in Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions and Kashmir. Kalam remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 09 degree Celsius below the freezing point. Minimum temperature in Parachinar was recorded -06C, Dir -04C, Murree, Gupis, Astore, Malamjabba and Kallat -03C, Skardu, Quetta and Bagrot -02C, Mirkhani and Chitral -01C. Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 21C and 10C respectively.

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 50 per cent.
